Overview:

What kind of stories do players want from their DLC? They may tell you that they want big, "epic" tales that push the lore of their favorite games, but Gearbox writer Anthony Burch has found the opposite is true. By analyzing rough sales figures and critical response to Borderlands 2's DLC, as well as exploring the process of those DLC's creation, Burch will try to convince you to lean on character and charm rather than plot and lore when you write DLC. Gamers don't care about saving the world: they want to hear a little girl learn to cope with grief.
