Localization Shenanigans in the Chinese Speaking World

Overview:

So you are interested in Chinese speaking regions. It may be that you want to tap into the emerging markets for your games in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and more, or you want to learn more about Chinese culture and language. Or both. In this talk, Jung-Sheng is going to discuss a wide variety of possible issues, with concrete (and at times funny) examples, when it comes to Chinese localization: simplified vs. traditional, naming problems, UI & fonts, a brief introduction to China-specific policies that may relate to localization, political implications in localization efforts...and more importantly, the fact that you don\'t have to understand Chinese to fix some of the things, actually.
