Overview Game designers spend a tremendous amount of development time crafting deep gameplay and spectacular visuals; however, more than 70% of players of free-to-play games never make it past the first few minutes. In this talk, attendees will learn best practices towards building an engaging new user experience that increases the retention (and monetization) funnel. Key data and insights based upon years of qualitative and quantitative user testing research will be shared with attendees. Different design concepts will be examined - what works and what doesn't - along with methodologies that enhance the overall user's experience with regards to flow, fun, immersion and playability.
