Overview For decades, game designers have been using prototypes and the iterative process to test and improve their game mechanics. Unfortunately, the same attention is rarely given to the game's overall narrative. This inattention can kill player engagement and hurt a game's success. Narrative prototyping can help improve your players' stories at a low cost, early in development. This talk will walk through the steps necessary to build out a compelling narrative structure, test your game as an interactive story, and improve the final player experience before a single line of code is written.
