Overview:

With the groundbreaking decision to allow game consoles in China, many developers and publishers are thinking of expanding their reach by pushing their games into this vibrant gaming region. But it's not as simple as flipping a switch. Plenty of thought and planning are required to make sure you've covered your bases. You'll need to fully understand what the Chinese Ministry of Culture (MOC) and the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) will allow and what is not acceptable, and you'll also need to be sure that your games play seamlessly, connecting to various services across new ISPs and geographies. This talk will help those considering a push into China better understand the road ahead of them, as well as prep them with some lessons learned prepping game content for the first releases of consoles in this region.
