Overview: Spatially aware devices are enabling applications to freely mix real and virtual worlds, untethered, at the scale of rooms, buildings, and cities. Devices like Microsoft's HoloLens; ARKit and ARCore enabled phones; stand-alone VR headsets; and the myriad of new computer vision equipped devices coming to market expand the scope and scale of what's possible in mixed reality. These large-space interactions raise new challenges in UI design and engineering. In this session, mixed reality application creators Blake Gross and Daniel Plemmons share what they've learned building untethered, mixed-reality applications for large spaces as part of Microsoft's HoloLens Experience team.
