Overview: With console makers incorporating some sort of high-definition capabilities into their next-generation products, the game industry is poised to move into a new phase of growth and maturity. However, the HD marketplace is filled with confusion and uncertainty. Todays displays and projectors are too complex for consumers to understand. On the professional side, questions remain about HD resolutions, aspect ratios, and color spacing. In fact, many industry insiders are unable to find common ground on the true definition of HD content.
br> Its no big secret that HDTV has the potential to revolutionize the games business. However, before game developers can claim victory, some fundamental questions need to be answered. First, what is true HD: 720p, 1080i, or what? This presentation brings together experts from the game development, consumer electronics, and filmmaking communities to address some of these key issues.
