Overview: Lighting is a fundamental element of most modern video games...and yet only a select few demonstrate an understanding of this craft. During this lecture, students deepen their understanding of the science, theory and craft of lighting.

The lecture grounds participants in the fundamentals of lighting and helps studios, both large and small, demystify the process of lighting. Studio executives, art directors, creative directors, and production managers find the demystification of the lighting process critical to their understanding of hiring, budgeting, and scheduling artists for the lighting duties on their projects. Artists find their understanding of the fundamentals enhanced and their ability to previsualize lighting improved.
