Overview: This follow-up workshop presents a combination lecture/workshop. First, a lecture on the most critical underlying principles of game design -with a particular focus on elements unique to serious game design- is presented. The initial lecture consists of a "best-of" condensed version of the previous design lectures and workshops developed by the presenter. It is supplemented with information about "The 400 Project" rules of game design- released to the public at the GDC.

The second part is split into several mini-workshops. In each of these sessions, participants present elevator pitches on a current serious game design project they are working on, after which the speaker conducts and moderates an analysis and discussion of the project, incorporating principles from the initial lecture. Each mini-workshop provides personalized feedback for one participant, while demonstrating practical application of good design principals for the entire audience. Participation is voluntary, but encouraged. Active participants should come prepared with both a high concept describing their project in 30 words or less, and a "maximum" three-minute pitch describing it succinctly.
