This lecture covers the leading players, publishers, distributors, and markets and offers historical perspectives and prognostications in addition to a solid picture of the industry today. The data through year-end 1996 is fairy accurate, but still might be influenced by claims, as audited data in many cases are not available. Prognostications are just for that, for it is the public that makes them reality or myth.
