Overview:

Many gamers who have grown up with core games that they have played on their PCs and consoles view web and social games as too shallow and not offering the kind of game experience that the would expect from something that is called �a game.� However, the latest browser technology finally provides opportunities to offer a quality game experience that is instantly accessible but also immersive, deep and rich enough that core gamers would enjoy it. On top of that, the social networks enable completely new ways for the gamers to interact with each other and provide new kind of truly social multiplayer experiences. Combining the strengths of core games with the power of social networks is a huge opportunity but also comes with a lot of challenges that must be addressed, which are all discussed in this talk.
