Overview: In this talk, board game and tabletop game developers discuss the ongoing growth, development and diversity of a hobby that continues to showcase original ideas, new approaches and even new technology. The panel will look back over the last twelve months in the industry, mixing their personal reflections and experiences with changing trends and themes, as well as taking questions from the audience.For the GDC's third State and Future of Board Games panel, moderator Paul Dean will be joined by designers Jenn Sandercock (creator of the groundbreaking Edible Games series) and Jonathan Ying (Imperial Assault, Bargain Quest), as well as a third guest TBC. The panel will reflect upon some of the year's biggest titles and talking points, look back on past trends and look ahead to what all of this may mean for the industry. The final third of the session will open up to questions from the audience on these topics and more.
