Speaker(s): Maxime Gautier, Joseph Nugent, Ryan Reede
Company Name(s): Berklee School of Music, Boston College, Dreamworks Animation
Track / Format: Entertainment VR/AR
Overview: Joycestick teaches you that with VR, great literature can now belong to everyone. The Joycestick experiences takes the most significant (and intimidating) novel of the twentieth century and brings it to life. In a series of immersive scenes from James Joyce's "Ulysses", this multidisciplinary team of college students has produced an exciting and dynamic experience that can transform the public's enjoyment of great works. Recounting the pitfalls, and celebrating the achievements of their start-up, the Academic Professor, student Engineer Lead, and student Audio Director will show how a world-class project can be created from nothing but determination and imagination.
