Overview: This talk will take you through the character development for 'Blood & Truth'. After completing 'VR Worlds', the launch title for PlayStation: VR, Sony London Studio began planning for their next title; a character led, action, narrative, PS:VR game set in modern day London. This was a unique opportunity for the character team to take what they had learned from VR World's London Heist experience, and push character believability and interaction in games to the next level. Toby will take you through the development stage by stage, from the decision to create highly realistic characters, initial investigations, to the subsequent adoption of 3D scanners and photogrammetry, and the many challenges to create high quality characters without compromising performance.
