Session Name: | Second Screen Games: Innovation from the Broadcast TV Industry? |
Speaker(s): | Matt Dominianni |
Company Name(s): | NBC Universal |
Track / Format: | Future of Gaming |
Overview: | Matt Dominianni has been developing, designing and programming games for big media for more than 10 years. At NBC Universal, his role includes working with game studios to develop games that TV viewers can play while they watch TV. So-called second screen games are a TV industry attempt to encourage viewers to watch shows at the time that they are broadcast. The marketplace for second screen games is in an early, unsaturated (and unproven) stage where experimentation and creativity are the only option. This talk will give some examples of the different second screen game experiences that have been developed and what can be learned from them, as well as a look into the future of how these interactive experiences will actually shape TV content itself. |
