This lecture will address the questions facing the senior executives of independent development studios across Europe who are wondering how to position their studios for success in 2010 and the years to come. Frederick will focus on building studio value, adjusting to the digital age, selling direct to consumers, raising financing, acquiring or building brands which can stand out amongst the clutter, developing propietary intellectual property whether engines, tools, or characters, deciding to sell your studio, seeking a buyer, valuing your studio, negotiating the sale, protecting and rewarding your employees, and post acquisition realities. He will also examine the roles of agents, brokers, investment bankers, financial analysts and attorneys.
