Overview: This session presents the commons and differences between producing visuals for games and movies. It will cover the specifics of film recording and compare with games production. The production of various atmospheric effects and lighting techniques will be explained, both for film and game production. The main emphasize is put on the explanation of the use of color grading, which traditionally in film is used to tie everything visually together. Visual examples will illustrate how the visual quality of any genre game can effectively be lifted to a much more sophisticated level.
