|Overview:||Since its introduction over 10 years ago, the behavior tree has been a staple of game AI. Over that time, however, there was a great splintering of variations in how to implement them. While the concepts were similar, there was little agreement on everything from terminology to "best practices". This lecture outlines what some professional AI devs view to be some core principles for getting the most out of your behavior trees while avoiding common issues. This session is aimed at the intermediate programmer who wants to learn more about building solid behavior trees without a clutter of esoteric techniques.|
