Overview: Individuals who are experiencing the "same" narrative content in 360 video may walk out of it with very different ideas about the story they viewed. For developers, gaining a better understanding of how users are interacting with narrative content will increase the likelihood that they can create experiences where viewers are engaging as intended with the material. Using two popular pieces of commercial 360 content, foundry10 did a study of 65 viewers' narrative engagement, emotional responses and understanding. What they learned may impact how you consider the role of the viewer in 360 video.
