Online Game Technology Summit: How Online Games Get Hacked

Overview:

This session will cover a history of exploiting online games and the tools and methodologies used to exploit them. The speaker, Adrian Bednarek, will use his 20+ years of experience in exploiting online games to provide information for current and upcoming developers on common and advanced techniques used to exploit online games. Although this presentation will cover a lot of in-depth technical information on how to pull off and protect against online game attacks, audiences of all levels will be able to take away valuable informationas many high-level concepts will be covered, such as how hacks in online games affect in-game economies, in-app purchases, and the quality of gameplay for players. The tools and techniques used are common to all games and we will go over in depth the workflows a hacker may use to exploit an online game, as well as common exploits in numerous games.
