Overview:

Game development has become larger in scale of late, requiring more manpower and longer project spans. As a result, young game creators who join mid-to-large studio are finding it harder to obtain the full scale of experiences they need, and studios are facing more challenges to train the next generation of game creators. nnOne of the reasons CyberConnect2, a well-established game development studio in Japan, decided to undertake a self-publishing project was to counter this issue. Fuga: Melodies of Steel was born to help provide a wide range of experiences to newer developers.nnThis session will introduce the problems encountered and knowledge gained for using self-publishing as a training tool.
