Nonny de la Pea will discuss how she uses VR to tell news stories with a powerful social impact. From a recreation of the Guantanamo Bay prison camp, to simulating what it is like for patients to fight their way through the hostile crowds outside a Planned Parenthood clinic, de la Pea will share both technical and creative insights about what it takes to craft a strong "spatial narrative."
