Everyone starts somewhere. Paradox Interactive started as a small studio that made weird PC games for small dedicated audiences. Today, Paradox is a medium sized publisher making weird games for a bigger, but still dedicated, audience.

Having built its business largely by looking at what everyone else is doing and running head first in the opposite direction, Paradox Interactive's journey provides plenty of lessons from mistakes and successes in a market that is more homogeneous, but still rife with niches than ever before.

Today there are more mini Paradoxes about to go on the same journey; learn from their many, many mistakes.
