|This session presents a case study on how Avalanche Studios organized and approached central technology development. Focus is given to the game teams, our centralized cross-project technology group and the relationship between them. We introduce the challenges that were faced within planning, delivery, communication and efficiency. We introduce mechanisms for addressing these challenges and discuss how successful they have been. Practical suggestions are given for processes, roles and team structure and evolution.
