Overview: Improving our understanding of how consumers play games is useful for all involved in game development. The Player Experience Panel is a new tool at MGS that enables us to collect behavioral game play data from consumers for all games played on Xbox Live, without the use of any in-game code. The tool provides data on how long consumers play, where and when they quit, which game modes they play, and much more. In this talk I will discuss the design of the Panel, the behavioral data collection process, and a broad overview of the insights the Panel provides.
