Implementing Robust and Scalable Art Integration


In general, artists want to be isolated from bad code breaking their workflows and software engineers want to be isolated from bad art breaking the build. We present a production-tested system for gating asset delivery through various checkpoints from work-in-progress to release-ready. We also discuss how coordinating the flow of changes (art going in one direction, code going the other) helps insulate artists and software engineers from the bleeding edge of visual or programming development ... and when this process breaks down.
