Developers are under constant pressure to make their games cheat-free. In the world of early access, modding, free to play and multiplayer, this is not easy. Cheating has become a business, a problem that affects a lot of games, and pushes developers to extreme measures and rather harsh decisions. This is a story of one group's fight against cheaters in DayZ.
The talk will examine the layers of protection, prevention, and obfuscation implemented. It will focus on how to succeed in this rapidly changing environment and provide methods for infiltrating and reverse-engineering cheating communities.
