What would happen if someone leaked one's company's full compensation information to their entire company? A growing number of companiesboth in and out of gamesare choosing to intentionally do just this. Pay transparency has been shown to reduce gender wage gaps, fight against structural inequalities, reduce recruiting costs, increase retention, and is better aligned with workplace expectations for the Millennial and Gen Z generations. In short, it's better for both the employee and the employer, and it can play an important role in creating a more equitable and diverse industry. In this talk, Matt Schembari, CEO at Lightforge Games, will share the research on open salaries along with the current state of the open salary movement, and he'll provide concrete benefits and challenges from Lightforge's experience practicing open salaries over the past three years.
