Overview:

Real money trade has been a problem in massively multiplayer games for at least two decades. Discussion on why exists has been low key and little or no direct evidence of the impact of RMT has been publically presented. This presentation addresses the RMT problem in general and review a special operation that was conducted within EVE Online, codenamed Unholy-Rage. CCP Lead Economist Dr. Eyjo Gudmundsson and Lead Game Master Einar Hreidarsson will review details of Unholy Rage with emphasis on analyzing the impact of RMT operations on EVE Online and lessons other game operators can learn from CCP's experience.
