Overview:

As games move from products to services, the classic work for hire relationship is fundamentally flawed. Developers are incentivized in the wrong way, and are rarely given commercial ownership of their work. In this session, Paul will cover the transition Mediatonic has been through in the last three years, by moving from a product to a service-based business. The talk will cover structuring teams and the studio, appropriate technology, and typical deal structures.
