Overview: Implicit surfaces are a powerful tool for solving tough geometric problems, with direct applications in games such as automatic LOD and creating procedural worlds. This lecture will demonstrate useful techniques we learned during the creation of our production soft-voxel engine. The attendee will learn best practices and pitfalls for creating implicit surfaces for use in games, and will understand the trade-offs between various voxelization methods.
