Overview:

When you play a game, you're choosing to give power to rules that define the game and influence your behavior while you play. But when you stop playing, what happens? This talk explores how games make the invisible rules of the world visible, so anyone can iterate on them. Games, as a medium, are forever a threat to the status quo: they enable us to imagine a more just and equitable society, to architect and design our own systems, and to see the design patterns that would strip that power from us.
