Session Name:

Performance Capture: A Creative Primer

Overview:

The session covers writing, planning, shooting and editing of cutscenes using performance capture. Ninja Theory has been at the forefront of performance capture since Heavenly Sword, shot in 2005 at Weta Digital (Lord of the Rings). They recently shot Devil May Cry 5 at Giant Studios (Avatar). During this time, Tameem has worked closely with movie production crews to bring honest rendition of movie-like drama to gaming. The session will provide insight into Ninja Theory’s creative process and the lessons that have been learnt from actor/director Andy Serkis (Gollum), and writer/producer Alex Garland (28 Days Later, The Beach).
