Overview: |
During eight weeks in the summer of 2011 the Technoculture, Art & Games (TAG) research center at Montreal's Concordia University hosted four teams of students, ex-students and indie developers in their efforts to advance their diverse game prototypes with the help of local industry mentors and university facilitators. Jason Della Rocca will discuss the key lessons learned from the experience, the promises and perils of university based game incubation, the need to support experimental game development and the importance of bridging academic, industry and indie communities. |
