Overview: Determined to create a robust 3D action game for touchscreens and tablets, Ryan Payton embarked on a two-year journey of experimentation and iteration. The result: Republique, a critically acclaimed game for iPhone and iPad that, according to The Washington Post, "sets a new benchmark for mobile game quality." Using previously unseen prototype footage, Ryan will walk attendees through the creative process of designing Republique's "one touch" gameplay, while candidly discussing the many misfires and failures that threatened to derail the project along the way.
