Advanced Screenspace Antialiasing


The focus of this lecture is a new type of Antialiasing implementation on the Xbox 360 and PS3, based on the ideas of MLAA but with several improvements over existing techniques. Like all Screenspace Antialiasing algorithms, the new Antialiasing algorithm removes artefacts rather than preventing them using smart edge detection algorithms and taking advantage of the CPU for the edge metric calculations.
